Happy Birthday from the doggies

I was able to make a 2nd card today.  I pulled out my Paper Smooches bin and picked out a couple of stamp and die sets to make a birthday card for my husband from the doggies.

This week's challenge at Paper Smooches is Anything Goes.  Here's what I came up with...

The Paper Smooches items I used are:

Sentiment Sampler - Happy Birthday
Streamers - Stamps and Dies
Woofers and Tweeters Stamps - Pawprints, Heart and the Dog
Woofers Die

The doggie on the card matches what my little girl looks like today, lol.....

I used this card as my 2nd entry into the Enamel dots challenge at the Yahoo Group Scrappin'-n-Chattin'.

Happy Birthday Card

Today I made a card for my husband for his birthday today.  It's been a while since I made a birthday card, so it was quite fun.

I used this week's sketch at Mojo Monday.

And here's the card....

I also entered this card into the Yahoo Group Scrappin'-n-Chattin's Enamel dot challenge.

Surgery Day

We have had a bunch of snow here in New York.  We live about 150 northwest of the city, so it's a bit colder here and higher up.  We got about a foot of snow on Monday.  So while my husband was out clearing snow from driveways, I went into my scrapping room and created a layout.

It's been a long time nsince I've gotten crafty after work.  I really loved this week's sketch and Let's Scrap.  They always have sketches with so many photo options.

I wanted to document my granddaughter's surgery, so those photos seemed perfect for this sketch.  I used MAMBI's Baby Girl collection.  This is page 1.....

And this is page 2....

Sorry for the glare on the pictures.  I haven't set up my photography set up yet.  I need to get my room squared away.  This is both pages together.

Thanks so much for looking.  I am really enjoying creating again.  Stop by again to see what else I create.

1st Christmas

I have another page to share tonight.  This one is also of my granddaughter.

Since Leena was going to be in the hospital for Christmas, all of her NC family got together on the 23rd to celebrate her 1st Christmas.  This layout is of a photo of her before she started opening her gifts.

I used the 2nd sketch for January at Sketches In Thyme.  I think this was the perfect sketch for a Christmas page...

I used Oh Deer! collection from Fancy Pants for this page...

First Day

Oh my!!  I can't believe it's been since May that I have blogged.  Wow.  Life has just been in the way.  I managed to make 3 pages today and thoroughly enjoyed it.  I really need to make crafting a priority.  It really made me feel better.

So the first page I have to share today is a layout of my granddaughter.  I used the January 1st sketch from Sketches In Thyme for my page.

Such a wonderful sketch.  I used Echo Park's That's My Girl collection.

Leena had to have a piece of her skull removed on Christmas Eve.  She got the band to reshape and protect her head on the 15th of this month.  She is such a trooper.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope to share many more in the weeks to come.

We Can't Wait

Wow, it's been a long time since I've blogged.  Life has been a bit busy.  And it's been an even longer time since I created a traditional 12 x 12 layout.  On Friday I created a traditional layout and it felt great.

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of my first granddaughter.  She was due yesterday, but apparently she's not quite ready to make her entrance.  Earlier in May, my dil had a 3D sonogram to make sure Leena was in the right position.  Technology is amazing.  She has such a cute little face.  I used this photo to create my layout.

I used the May 1st sketch from Stuck?! Sketches.  I really loved this sketch...

I used DCWV's Coral Couture for the page....

Happy Memorial Day everyone.  Please take the time today to remember those that have lost their life protecting our freedom.

Week 7 Project Life Spread

I am so enjoying working on Project Life layouts.  This is the first year that I am giving it a real try.  A few of my friends started working on PL last year.  I was intrigued by their pages, but I really thought I would not like doing it and never be able to keep up.  And what will I have to scrap in this fashion?  Our kids are grown, and not around too much.  And we work all the time.  We don't go on vacations.  And I'm horrible about documenting what's happening on a regular basis.

Well, I cannot keep up.  I'm only on Week 7.  And I don't really keep track of things I think I should.  But I have not had any problem with journaling yet.  As a matter of fact, I have had a ton of journaling on my spreads.

And my intention was to have a 2 page spread for each week.  I really didn't think I would be able to accomplish that.  I figured I would have to go to doing 1 page spreads.  But then Week 7 happened.  The week started out really slowly.  Not much of anything noteworthy until about Thursday.  I did end of finding a couple of things that impacted our world Monday.  We had a couple of very large snowstorms in Week 7.  We had my son's puppy for the day on the weekend.  Oh, and it was Valentine's Day.  We took the day off on Friday to be able to clean up from the storms.  So I had a bunch of snow pics, and a bunch of dog pics.  And on Friday I had the most awesome surprise.  My boyfriend proposed to me.

Since I had so many photos, I decided I wanted to use some smaller PL pages in addition to the regular 12 x 12 PL pages.  I ended up with 56 Photos on the Week 7 spread.  It was such a fun layout to create.

This is my Page 1.....

Page 2 is one of the inserts.  I used the insert for photos of all of the snow.

Page 3, the back side of the insert..

And my Page 4.

Here is a view of what the pages look like in the book.  Page 1/2.
